About this role
##
The Compliance team plays an essential role in ensuring that Allegro's operations are in line with the applicable laws in Poland and Europe. Our Compliance team is an interdisciplinary partner that seamlessly combines comprehensive compliance oversight with close business collaboration. Rather than working in isolation, we actively support individual business units in achieving and maintaining compliance throughout their operations, products, and tech initiatives. We focus on identifying regulatory trends across Poland and the EU, evaluating compliance risks, and translating complex rules into actionable business realities. Joining us means shaping a modern governance culture that safeguards Allegro’s reputation and builds lasting trust with millions of customers and partners.
What does this role involve?
- You will support all Allegro Group teams in compliance management through consultations and substantive support.
- Identifying relevant national and EU legal developments, assessing their impact on our business model, and defining compliance requirements for business-led implementation projects.
- Providing day-to-day expert guidance to various business units, assessing compliance and reputational risks in new products, projects, and operational initiatives.
- Reviewing, updating, and issuing internal compliance policies and procedures to ensure alignment with applicable laws, regulator positions, and market standards.
- Conducting regular reviews and compliance controls across key business operations, monitoring the remediation of identified risks and post-review recommendations.
- Monitoring positions and guidance from regulatory bodies, and handling compliance-related inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Designing and delivering compliance training and communication programs (including onboarding and mandatory updates) to foster strong governance across the organization.
- Together with the team, continuously improving our compliance management framework and risk methodology across the Allegro Group.
This is the right job for you if:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in compliance, internal controls, regulatory advisory, or related risk management functions (preferably within e-commerce, fintech, digital platforms, or a large multinational matrix organization).
- Degree in law, audit, risk management, finance, or a related field.
- Strong working knowledge of compliance risk assessments, policy governance, regulatory monitoring, and compliance reviews/testing.
- Experience acting as a Compliance SME/Advisor in cross-functional business initiatives (rather than pure operational project management), helping business teams understand and address regulatory requirements.
- Ability to quickly digest complex European and national regulations, assess their practical impact on technology and operations, and translate them into clear, risk-based recommendations.
- Confidence in partnering with business leaders, building constructive relationships, and conveying high-level, business-friendly messages.
- Fluency in Polish and English (min. C1) – essential for daily advisory, drafting policies, and cooperating across Group entities.
- Knowledge of Czech or other CEE languages is a welcome plus.
What can we offer:
- Hybrid work model (4 days in-office / 1 remote) in a modern, well-located Warsaw or Poznań office (bicycle parking, equipped kitchens, adjustable desks, interactive meeting rooms)
- A wide selection of fringe benefits in a cafeteria plan – you choose what you like (e.g., medical, sports or lunch packages, insurance, purchase vouchers)
- Working with partners from different business units on cross-functional projects
- Collaborating with the best experts - it will enable you to expand your experience in the field of risk and compliance
- Being part of a team that is always willing to share knowledge with others
- Access to a wide selection of training programs on our internal MindUp platform
