Hardware Security Engineering Director
Company Overview
Siemens EDA is a global technology leader in Electronic Design Automation software. Our software tools enable companies around the world to develop highly innovative electronic products faster and more cost-effectively. Our customers use our tools to push the boundaries of technology and physics to deliver better products in the increasingly complex world of chip, board, and system design.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and energetic engineer with a background in analog/digital circuit design and verification, with emphasis on hardware/software security to strengthen our research and development team. Security is an important aspect for solutions being deployed for silicon lifecycle management. We are looking for a candidate who is a hardware security expert and can help protect our test IPs and Test Access Mechanisms (TAMs) against cyber-attacks. Our system-wide DFT, in-system testing, silicon monitoring, bring-up, and debug infrastructure helps silicon engineering teams ensure their products do what they were designed and trusted to do, safely and securely throughout product lifecycle.
You will be responsible for designing secure architecture, implementing cryptographic and authentication mechanisms, and performing adversarial assessments to find vulnerabilities. You will work with a team that develops hardware, software and diagnostic/analytic solutions to ensure that silicon systems are fully testable from manufacturing to at-scale deployment with the ability to detect silicon defects and anomalies and provide actionable insights to system operators.
You will be responsible for architecting and designing security mechanisms and cyber security IP, designing overall security architecture and framework, and specifying HW/SW interfaces and security SW stack. You will be advising and collaborating with a team of experienced HW and SW engineers to accomplish this goal. You may be asked to serve on Security advisory committees and task groups within Siemens EDA as well as outside. You will discuss the silicon security requirements of Siemens EDA customers and convert the requirements into concrete specifications that can be implemented by the cross-functional team.
You will be working as part of an international team with fellow software and hardware development engineers, as well as quality assurance, customer support, documentation, and product marketing engineers. Together we continuously strive to develop innovative products using the latest tools and technologies across different areas including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. You will have the opportunity to responsibly lead our overall security strategy that adds significant value to our products and solutions and further improve your personal and professional skills and knowledge.
