At Siemens Mobility, we’re transforming the future of transportation, and you can be part of it.
Join our growing team at our passenger rail manufacturing facility in Lexington, NC, where we build the next generation of rail vehicles for communities across North America. As an Assembler Technician I, you’ll work hands-on with a team assembling mechanical and electrical components that become part of Siemens Mobility passenger rail vehicles.
If you have experience in manufacturing, automotive, construction, electrical work, mechanical assembly, or another hands-on environment, we want to hear from you.
Your Schedule
1st Shift: Monday–Thursday | 5:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.
What You’ll Do
As an Assembler Technician I, you’ll perform hands-on mechanical and electrical assembly work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Your responsibilities may include:
Build and assemble components used in passenger rail vehicles, including roofs, cable harnesses, electrical racks, panels, air-supply racks, and piping assemblies. Install mechanical components such as insulation, sidewall panels, seating, luggage racks, windows, and door assemblies. Route, connect, and terminate electrical wiring harnesses and subassemblies. Apply adhesives and assemble and align floor panels, windows, and door systems. Read and follow production blueprints, wiring diagrams, parts lists, wire lists, sketches, and work instructions. Use hand and power tools to complete assembly operations. Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, and reassemble components when needed. Perform detailed assembly work requiring good hand-eye coordination, dexterity, and attention to quality.
This aligns closely with the existing internal role, which includes mechanical subassembly, wiring, rework, and assembly using blueprints and related production documentation.
What You Bring
You don’t need to come from the rail industry to build a career with us.
In addition to a great work ethic, we’re looking for candidates with:

Experience or interest in a hands-on environment such as manufacturing, automotive, construction, electrical work, mechanical assembly, maintenance, or skilled trades. Basic written and verbal communication skills in English. Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a production team. Experience reading blueprints, diagrams, or parts lists is helpful, but not required.
