About this role

Meta's Infrastructure Sourcing organization is responsible for securing the supply, commercial terms, and supplier relationships that power Meta's global data center portfolio. Category Sourcing Managers own the end-to-end sourcing lifecycle for critical infrastructure equipment categories, from multi-year strategy through contract execution and supplier performance management. In this role, you will own one or more categories within Meta's power and cooling infrastructure portfolio, spanning high, medium, and low voltage distribution equipment, power generation systems, air and liquid cooling technologies, modular power and cooling assemblies, and energy storage. You will partner with data center engineering, construction, and capacity planning teams to align supplier capability and technology roadmaps with Meta's global infrastructure growth. You will lead technology cutovers across supplier generations, optimizing capacity allocation against platform roadmaps and perf/TCO tradeoffs. In addition you will partner directly with Hardware Engineering to drive suppliers to adopt or pivot roadmaps to meet scale, performance, and cost targets

Responsibilities

Define and execute multi-year category strategies for power and cooling infrastructure equipment, incorporating market analysis, supplier segmentation, total cost of ownership modeling, and supply risk assessment
Lead end-to-end sourcing events including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution for high-value power and cooling equipment categories
Develop and sustain executive-level supplier relationships across the power and cooling supply base, conducting structured business reviews to drive measurable improvements in cost, quality, delivery, and capacity
Analyze commodity market dynamics affecting power and cooling equipment supply chains, including exposure to copper, steel, aluminum, and refrigerant markets, and develop mitigation strategies accordingly
Assess and manage supply chain risks including geopolitical exposure, single-source dependencies, long-lead-time components, and capacity constraints across the power and cooling supplier base
Partner with data center engineering, construction, and capacity planning teams to align sourcing strategies and supplier capability roadmaps with infrastructure deployment schedules
Establish and track supplier capacity commitments to ensure supply availability supports Meta's global data center build pipeline across multiple geographies
Drive supplier development and qualification initiatives to expand geographic diversity, introduce alternative sources of supply, and improve resilience for critical power and cooling categories
Apply should-cost modeling and value engineering methodologies in collaboration with engineering and design teams to identify and execute cost reduction opportunities
Develop executive-level category reporting and strategic insights, communicating sourcing strategy, supplier performance, and risk posture to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications

Experience leading end-to-end sourcing processes including RFx development, supplier evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract execution for capital equipment categories
Experience developing and owning multi-year category strategies that incorporate market intelligence, total cost of ownership analysis, and supply risk assessment
Experience managing strategic supplier relationships and driving measurable improvements in supplier performance across cost, quality, and delivery metrics
Experience communicating complex sourcing strategies and supplier performance data to cross-functional teams and executive stakeholders through written and verbal formats
Experience partnering directly with Hardware Engineering and driving suppliers to adopt or pivot technology roadmaps to align with business and technical roadmaps
Experience managing technology cutovers across supplier generations, including optimizing capacity allocation based on platform roadmaps and technology perf/TCO characteristics Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
Experience sourcing power and cooling infrastructure equipment specifically for hyperscale or large-scale data center environments, including switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, or liquid cooling technologies
Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
Experience working cross-functionally with data center engineering or construction teams to align procurement strategy with infrastructure design and deployment timelines
Familiarity with commodity market dynamics affecting power and cooling supply chains, including copper, steel, aluminum, and refrigerant pricing and availability
Experience applying should-cost modeling or value engineering methodologies to capital equipment categories in collaboration with engineering or design teams
