Looking for flexible nursing opportunities where you can make a real difference? Southern Health Partners is seeking a PRN Registered Nurse (RN) to join our healthcare team at Madison County Jail in Huntsville, Alabama.
This opportunity is ideal for an RN who values scheduling flexibility while providing compassionate care to an underserved patient population. With 12-hour shifts available on both days and nights , you can share your availability and help support essential patient-care needs.

🩺 What You'll Do
- Provide nursing assessments and monitor patients' health needs
- Administer medications and treatments according to provider orders, nursing standards, and applicable regulations
- Recognize changes in patient conditions and respond appropriately to urgent medical needs
- Coordinate care with providers and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
- Support patient intake, sick call, and ongoing healthcare needs
- Promote a safe, secure, and professional healthcare environment
- Help maintain continuity of care through dependable PRN shift coverage
Qualifications
✅ Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama
- Current CPR certification
- Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Availability for 12-hour PRN day and/or night shifts
- Willingness to assist with weekend and holiday coverage as needed
- Dependability and a commitment to providing quality patient care

- Manage your availability through our online scheduling exchange
- Provide at least four available dates each month
- Share holiday availability in advance whenever possible
- Honor accepted and scheduled shifts to support reliable coverage
- Keep in mind that full-time and part-time schedules receive priority when shifts are assigned
- Work with the team to help meet facility coverage needs across day and night shifts
Specific scheduling expectations may vary based on staffing levels and facility coverage needs.
