Pay Rate: $19.00 - $21.00 /hour (D.O.E.)

Job Description

PrideStaff is seeking an energetic, physically fit Roastery Support Specialist to serve as the vital “bar back” for a high-volume specialty coffee roasting facility.

In this hands-on physical role, you will be the backbone of the roasting department, keeping production moving at full speed. Your day will be spent staging inventory, precisely weighing out green coffee lots, loading bean hoppers, and assisting roasters with post-roast blending and packaging. This is an exceptional entry-level gateway for someone looking to break into the specialty coffee roasting industry!

Key Responsibilities

Stage, open, weigh out, and dump green coffee bean bags (up to 70+ lbs) into hoppers and staging bins for scheduled roasts.

Assist roasters with cooling tray monitoring, post-roast destoning, and product blending.

Package roasted coffee into bulk bags, SuperSacks, and wholesale containers.

Keep the roasting floor spotless by regularly emptying chaff collectors, sweeping spilled beans, and organizing green coffee pallets.

Support warehouse and inventory teams by tracking lot numbers and staging outgoing shipments.

Requirements & Qualifications

Physical Stamina: Excellent physical strength and endurance—ability to stand on your feet all day and repeatedly lift, carry, and dump sacks weighing 50 to 70+ lbs.

Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately read batch sheets, tare scales, and verify bean origin labels and lot codes.

Work Ethic & Mindset: Dependable, punctual, proactive, and excited to work in a collaborative, fast-paced roasting environment.

Industry Interest: A genuine interest in specialty coffee production is a major plus!
