Job Description
PrideStaff in Natomas is recruiting for a dependable, detail-driven Shipping Specialist to join a premier, fast-growing local business in Sacramento, CA.
In this role, you will take full ownership of outgoing, freight logistics, and inventory management. You will coordinate parcel couriers, Third-Party Logistics (3PL) partners, and truckload freight scheduling while ensuring strict inventory accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics & Freight Scheduling
Generate packing slips, Bills of Lading (BOLs), and required shipping manifests.
Process domestic and international parcel shipments using FedEx Ship Manager and UPS WorldShip .
Coordinate freight shipments with 3PL providers , schedule truck pickups via Transportation Management Systems (TMS) , and stage palletized/carton freight for carrier dispatch.
Communicate tracking numbers, shipping confirmations, and transit updates to clients via email, proactively troubleshooting any carrier delays or exceptions.
Requirements & Qualifications
Logistics & Software Experience:
Hands-on experience with shipping platforms: UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager .
Familiarity with freight documentation ( BOLs ), 3PL coordination , and TMS truck scheduling .
Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and email correspondence.
Fast, accurate typing skills and strong memory retention for alphanumeric part/serial numbers.
Relevant Work Experience:
Prior experience in shipping/receiving within a warehouse setting.
Accuracy & Focus: Exceptional attention to detail with the proven ability to differentiate subtle variations across similar part numbers, product styles, and physical labels.
Physical Demands & Facility Specs:
Ability to walk, stand, bend, and lift light-to-moderate boxes throughout an active shop/warehouse environment.
Professional Standards:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Punctual, dependable attendance with reliable daily transportation.
Strong active listening skills, ability to execute multi-step workflows, and professional communication skills in English.
