About this role
For our European Engineered Materials department we are looking for a dynamic and flexible Polymer Materials Engineer (m/f/i) with extensive knowledge of materials and plastics, who enjoys working with domestic and international clients to evaluate their materials according to American, European, and international requirements.
This includes evaluating materials for fire resistance, temperature, UV, and impact resistance, research into the use of PFAS and halogens, and applications in railways, automotive, and more.
You will work in a diverse and international team, collaborating both individually and with colleagues worldwide. - University Degree in polymer science, materials science, plastics engineering , chemistry, or a comparable qualification, along with several years of relevant professional experience
- Strong communication, project management, and organizational skills
- English language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing is a must have)
- German language skills (fluent speaking/reading and writing is a must have)
- Spanish/Italian language skills (nice to have)
- Strong customer service skills and willing to go the extra mile
- Good analytical skills and looking for continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Great cooperation skills and open for feedback
