CDL-A Local Intermodal Driver –Sturtevant, WI
Pay Details & Schedule
- Average annual gross: $80,000
- Pay rate: $0.50–$0.58 CPM
- Average miles: 1,500 per week
- $10,000 Bonus
- New drivers receive a $0.01 CPM increase each year after hire
- All hub miles paid equally, loaded or empty
- Monday–Friday schedule
- 3:00 PM start time
- Holiday pay available after 90 days on the account
- Thanksgiving and Christmas time off is not guaranteed
Job Details
- Local intermodal routes throughout WI and IL
- Daily trips to Chicago rail yards
- 100% no-touch freight
- Approximately 80% drop-and-hook and 20% customer live loads
- Drop-and-hook at customer locations for pickups and deliveries
- Online orientation available
- Potential opportunity to transfer to a preferred shift after 6 months
- Slip-seat operation; tractors must remain at the yard during time off
- No smoking inside trucks
PTO & Holiday Benefits
- PTO accrual begins on the first day of employment
- First year: 18 paid days (12 PTO + 6 holidays)
- Years 1–5: 22 paid days
- Years 6–13: 27 paid days
- Years 14–18: 30 paid days
- 19+ years: 32 paid days
Job Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum 3 months of verifiable truck driving experience
- Hazmat endorsement required within 90 days of hire
- Hazmat reimbursement available after hire with required documentation
- Clean driving record and valid DOT Medical Card
- No SAP drivers
- Must pass a drug test
