Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking an experienced Revenue Manager to lead revenue accounting operations and oversee a team of accounting professionals in a fast-paced, project-based environment. This role will be responsible for revenue recognition, billing oversight, forecasting support, and ensuring compliance with ASC 606 and internal control requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the month-end revenue close process and ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606.
- Lead and mentor a team of 4+ accounting professionals.
- Review customer billing, job cost budgets, and project billing schedules to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries and general ledger reconciliations.
- Partner with operations and project teams to support forecasting, budgeting, and financial planning initiatives.
- Maintain strong internal controls and support audit requests by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Monitor project performance, costs, and contract activity to ensure proper revenue recognition and billing treatment.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Strong expertise with ASC 606 revenue recognition .
- Previous management or supervisory experience required.
- Experience with billing, forecasting, job costing, and revenue accounting in a project-based environment.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit support.
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills.
