Job Title: Engineering Project Coordinator Job Description
We are seeking a Production Engineering Associate to support new product development and launch activities within a manufacturing environment. This individual will partner closely with project leaders, engineering teams, quality, production, and customer contacts to coordinate program activities, maintain project documentation, track launch milestones, and support successful product launches. This role is ideal for someone looking to build a long-term career within manufacturing, engineering, and program support while gaining exposure to new model development processes and customer-facing operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate program activities in collaboration with project leaders and engineering teams.
- Maintain and manage project documentation, ensuring accuracy and accessibility.
- Track launch milestones and support successful product launches.
- Engage in customer communication to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
- Provide administrative support and manage schedules for cross-functional teams.
- Facilitate risk tracking and ensure proactive measures are implemented.
- Manage Bills of Materials (BOM) and engineering support activities.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives and schematic reading.
Essential Skills
- Experience in project coordination and program support.
- Proficiency in APQP, PPAP, and Microsoft Excel.
- Ability to manage documentation and communicate effectively with customers.
- Strong skills in project tracking, scheduling, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience with BOM management, engineering support, and Smartsheet.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in automotive manufacturing and new model launches.
- Familiarity with Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams, Planner, and Notion.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and manage PSW documentation.
- Understanding of product approval processes and launch readiness.
- Experience in safe launch activities, continuous improvement, and supplier coordination.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a climate-controlled office with occasional exposure to the production floor. The manufacturing facility is clean, organized, and well-maintained. The role involves regular interaction with engineering, quality, production, and customer teams, combining desk work, project coordination, and manufacturing support activities. There may be occasional walking throughout manufacturing operations to support launch activities and project execution. The environment is fast-paced, supporting multiple customer programs and product launches simultaneously.

This is a Permanent position based out of South Charleston, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58000.00 - $78000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401(k) company match up to 4%.
