Assistant Construction Project Manager

Description

- Attend site daily and represent company in coordination meetings
- Monitor and track site progress against relevant milestone schedules, identifying roadblocks and driving resolution to issues as they arise
- Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic site issues (manpower, parts availability, documentation, etc) and takes an active role in resolving escalated issues.
- Provide timely updates to PM and other internal stakeholders as needed
- Act as primary focal for customer and other contractors at site.
- Coordinate the on-site team of FSRs ensuring site needs are attended to
- Notify the PM team about delays, out of scope activities, or any other opportunities at site
- Under supervision of the PM, oversees the proper application of contract and claim management methods in accordance with company policies and contractual agreements.
- Ensures that company policies (i.e., directives, instructions, and guidelines) are followed in all site activities.

Top Skills Details Project management, Construction, Electrical, microsoft suite Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor 's degree in construction management preferred. Equivalent work experience will be considered in place of degree. 2+ years of experience working in field service and/or project management. Manufacturing experience is a plus Ability to attend site up to an estimated 80% of the time Advanced level of ability to use Microsoft Office products. Strong understanding of UPS, STS and PDU equipment site commissioning is preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Austin, TX.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $43.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
