Process Applications Engineer I-II (33192)

POSITION SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, responsible for designing, modifying and evaluating a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, process testing and release. Develops new or modified process formulations. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of identifiable factors. (Essential)

- Defines processing or handling equipment requirements and specifications and reviews processing techniques and methods. (Essential)

- Reviews product requirements with design staff to ensure compatibility to processing methods. (Essential)

- Researches and understands industry trends and direction of technology for future technology nodes (Essential)

- Understands latest market of consumable suppliers and the usage of these to meet customer or industry process requirements (Essential)

- Develop test plans, generate process data and evaluate test data to determine appropriate limits and variables to meet process, design or material specifications. (Essential)

- Detailed interaction with consumable suppliers to understand products and how they can help Ebara meet industry or customer requirements/process targets (Essential)

- Complies with EBARAs safety policies, including participation in and completion of all required safety training. (Essential)

- Maintains clean and safe working environment compliant with Ebara and customer safety policies. (Essential)

- Performs other duties as assigned. (Non-Essential)

Qualifications

- The ability to lift 35 lbs. unassisted from the floor to waist level.

Education

- Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Communications or equivalent experience.

Experience

- Four (4) - Ten (10) years of work experience, preferably in the semiconductor industry.

- Strong Customer Relations skills.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

- Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

- Understanding of CAD drawings and designs behind products.

- Thorough understanding of Ebara toolset and usage of latest generation consumables from various suppliers.

- Working knowledge of CMP polishing equipment, process consumables and associated metrology equipment.

- Strong relationship building skills with ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal colleagues and customer.

- Demonstrated teamwork and organizational skills.

- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
