Boddington is a flagship Newmont gold and copper operation in Western Australia, located about 130 kilometres south-east of Perth and 16 kilometres from the rural town of Boddington.

This large open-pit mine is among Australia’s biggest gold producers and in 2021 it became the world’s first gold mine to implement an Autonomous Haulage System (driverless haul trucks) – a pioneering step for safety and innovation.

Your Impact

As a Process Technician at Boddington Gold Mine, you'll play a key role in the safe, reliable and efficient operation of our processing facilities. Leveraging your processing experience, you'll help optimise plant performance, support production targets and contribute to safe, sustainable and cost-effective operational outcomes across one of Australia's largest gold operations.

As Part of Our Team, You Will

- Operate, monitor and maintain processing plant equipment across crushing, grinding, flotation and recovery circuits.
- Identify, troubleshoot and respond to plant upsets and process variations to support safe and reliable production.
- Conduct routine inspections, sampling and housekeeping activities to maintain operational standards and compliance.
- Support shutdowns, start-ups, isolations and permit activities while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Collaborate with control room operators, maintenance teams and supervisors to achieve production, reliability and continuous improvement objectives.

Prerequisites for Success in This Role

- Minimum of 5 years' processing experience within mining, mineral processing, metallurgy or a similar heavy industrial environment.
- Demonstrated operational knowledge of processing plant equipment and systems, with gold processing experience highly regarded.
- Control room experience will be highly regarded.
- Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance and procedural discipline.
- Effective communication, problem-solving and teamwork skills, with the ability to work a 7 days on / 7 days off rotating day and night shift roster.

Your Work Environment

Reporting to the Processing Supervisor, you will be part of a collaborative Processing team working closely with Control Room Operators, Maintenance personnel and fellow Process Technicians to support safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. You will contribute to a team environment focused on operational excellence, continuous improvement and shared production outcomes.
