POSITION OVERVIEW
The Server provides exceptional dining service to members and guests, ensuring an outstanding experience through every meal period. This role requires professionalism, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to hospitality, teamwork, and safety.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Maintain a welcoming, friendly, and professional demeanor throughout the shift; address members by last name and appropriate title or honorific.
- Deliver prompt, accurate, and attentive service while maintaining a members first mentality.
- Attend pre-shift meetings and review daily service notes and menu updates.
- Accurately record and confirm all member and guest orders.
- Input orders correctly in the POS system and clearly communicate special requests to kitchen staff.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and beverage offerings.
- Exhibit proficiency in wine and cocktail knowledge; provide basic wine service and make thoughtful recommendations.
- Use suggestive selling techniques appropriately to enhance the dining experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, side stations, and restaurant areas throughout the shift.
- Assist fellow team members and support other roles when needed.
- Break down and reset sections in preparation for the next shift.
- Communicate any member concerns or service issues promptly to management.
- Follow all cash-handling and revenue control procedures as applicable.
- Adhere to established safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
- Leadership: Promote and exemplify company values and uphold departmental standards.
- Teamwork: Foster a collaborative and positive work environment.
- Safety: Follow all safety protocols and attend required training.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 12 months of related serving experience in a high-volume or fine-dining environment.
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with team members and members/guests.
- Strong product and menu knowledge, with the ability to convey details clearly.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced setting.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Food Handlers Certification (or equivalent).
- Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) Certification or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training.
