BUSSER - Part-time Seasonal

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Busser supports The Steak House service team by ensuring an elegant, efficient, and seamless dining experience for Members and guests. This position assists servers and hosts by preparing dining areas for service, resetting tables promptly, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting overall floor operations in a high-end, fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

- Maintain a professional, polished, and welcoming demeanor throughout service.

- Arrive on time and prepared for all scheduled shifts.

- Assist with setup, reset, and breakdown of dining areas before and after service.

- Communicate with servers, managers, and hosts to confirm accurate floor plans and table assignments.

- Stock and maintain server stations with ice, water, glassware, and linens.

- Serve and replenish water for Members and guests throughout service.

- Polish and restock glassware, silverware, and plateware to ensure presentation readiness.

- Clear, clean, and reset tables quickly and quietly, maintaining The Steak Houses refined atmosphere.

- Transport dishware and glassware to appropriate areas efficiently and safely.

- Assist in food running and guest service support as directed by management.

- Maintain sanitation and organization of assigned workstations.

- Monitor cleanliness in dining areas and restrooms, addressing spills or maintenance issues promptly.

- Assist with setup and breakdown for special events as needed.

- Maintain knowledge of menu items and service standards to anticipate server and guest needs.

- Leadership: Demonstrate responsibility, professionalism, and attention to detail.

- Teamwork: Work collaboratively with the entire Food & Beverage team.

- Safety: Follow all safety and sanitation protocols and attend required training.

- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

- Six months of restaurant or hospitality experience preferred.

- Fine dining or private club experience is highly desirable.

Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities

- Strong communication and multitasking skills.

- Ability to remain calm and courteous under pressure.

- Dependable, self-motivated, and professional.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Required Licenses/Certifications

- Food Handlers Safety Certification.

- RBS or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training
