POSITION OVERVIEW
The Busser provides essential support to servers and host(ess) staff by assisting with the setup, reset, and breakdown of dining areas, preparing for service periods, and maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming dining environment. This role ensures that Members and guests receive an elevated dining experience through prompt table resets, efficient service support, and attention to detail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
- Maintain a welcoming, professional demeanor throughout the shift.
- Arrive on time for scheduled shifts and be prepared for duties.
- Communicate with supervisors and host(ess) staff to ensure correct setup for service.
- Build floor plan and table settings as directed.
- Prepare heaters or open doors depending on weather conditions.
- Set up sanitation and bussing stations.
- Clean and sanitize surfaces and areas as needed.
- Prepare crudit, chips, and dip in compliance with health codes.
- Stock ice and water in server stations; ensure readiness for service.
- Serve water upon guest arrival and replenish throughout the shift.
- Polish plateware, glassware, and flatware as needed.
- Ensure tables are properly set and reset consistently.
- Break down and clean stations at the end of service; prepare backups.
- Clear plates, glassware, and utensils from tables promptly.
- Reset and turn tables efficiently for incoming Members.
- Transport dishware and glassware to the appropriate areas.
- Maintain elegant service standards, including noise control and avoiding disruptive practices in dining areas.

- Safety – Follow safe work practices and attend all required safety training.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
- Three to six months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Technical / Other Skills and Abilities
- Prior bussing experience preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Self-motivated and dependable.
Required Licenses/Certifications
- Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training
- RBS or equivalent Alcohol Awareness Training
