Finishing Technician
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Shifts: Day Shift: 5:00am- 1:30pm ; Swing Shift- 1:30pm-10:00pm
Pay Rate: DOE
Location: San Jose, CA
Experience: At least 1 year of Finishing Experience.

Finishing Technician Job Duties Include:
? Read and comprehend instructions, blue prints, and job travelers to complete all assigned tasks.
? Use oscillators, sanders, power tools, and hand filing tools to smooth rough edges, metal parts, and indentations.
? Barcode all jobs for tracking and ensure all metal parts are correctly welded before beginning.
? Notify leadership immediately regarding any malfunctioning equipment or defective parts.
? Perform repetitive finishing tasks while maintaining a high level of detail and a clean, safe 6S work environment.
? Practice strict safety standards by utilizing all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times
? Other duties as assigned
Finishing Technician Preferred Include:
? High School diploma or equivalent educational background.
? Knowledge of operating oscillators, sanders, and grinders.
? Knowledge of grinding techniques on various alloys including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminum per manufacturing drawings.
? Ability to operate a 7-inch electric power grinder throughout the entire work day.
? Demonstrated good hand-eye coordination and sufficient manual dexterity.
? Prior understanding of specific work order flow and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Finishing Technician Requirements Include:
? Ability to read English and follow both verbal and basic written instructions/MPIs.
? Basic math and basic computer skills for time management and tracking.
? Basic understanding of safety, quality best practices, hand tools, materials, and standard inspection instruments.
? Physical ability to lift 30 to 50 lbs throughout the workday and withstand constant repetitive motions.
? Ability to work in a shop environment with medium noise levels and metal dust particles.
? Ability to commit to a flexible schedule, prompt arrival for shifts, and cross-training in other departments.
? Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
? Must provide 3 professional references
