Paint Prep Technician
Shift: Monday - Friday
Hours: First Shift 5:00am- 1:30pm; Swing Shift: 12:00 pm -8:30 pm
Pay Rate: $20.00-$24.00/hr
Location: San Jose, CA!
Experience: At least 1 year of Paint Prep experience

Paint Prep Technician Job Duties Include:
? Adhere to company policies, 6S practices, and maintain a clean, safe working Environment.
? Prep parts according to specifications to achieve required Class A, B, or C cosmetics after paint.
? Remove paint masking from parts after painting is completed.
? Inspect de-masked parts, remove paint burrs, and report any quality or defect issues to leadership.
? Execute paint prep practices, including scuff sanding for adhesion and cleaning or hanging parts for coating.
? Operate hand tools such as sanders and grinders during prep operations.
Paint Prep Technician Preferred Include
? High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.
? Capability to operate processes or machines with minimal assistance and
provide feedback to management
? Ability to read, understand, and follow detailed paint process instructions (DPPI) and Epicor comments.
? Ability to provide constructive feedback regarding potential process improvements or discrepancies.
? Prior cross-training or willingness to cross-train in other departments to support unexpectedly high demand
? Experience or familiarity with maintaining specific customer and company quality requirements.
Paint Prep Technician Requirements Include:
? Safely operate tools, sanders, and grinders while wearing required PPE (eye
protection, gloves, dust masks, and ear protection).
? Ability to identify grit ratings and understand various oscillation types.
? Maintain physical capability to work standing for an 8-hour shift and lift at least 25lbs.
? Maintain a flexible schedule, arrive promptly for shifts, and work in other areas or departments as needed.
? Possess a basic understanding of safety, inspection processes, equipment, hand tools, and raw materials
? Must be willing to submit to a pre-employment background check and drug screen
? Must provide 3 professional references
