Build and Lead a Growing Sterile Compounding Operation

We're looking for a pharmacist who wants more than a traditional management role. This is a unique opportunity to join a growing 503B outsourcing facility and help build pharmacy operations from the ground up. In the beginning , you'll be highly involved in daily production and sterile compounding activities while helping establish processes, documentation, and workflows. As the company grows and hires additional pharmacists, you'll have the opportunity to transition into a more strategic leadership role focused on operations, team development, and business growth. What You'll Do

Lead Pharmacy Operations

- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
- Oversee daily pharmacy operations and production activities
- Help develop efficient workflows and scalable processes
- Partner with leadership, quality, and consulting teams to support growth
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and developing pharmacy staff

Support Sterile Compounding & Production

- Participate in sterile compounding activities
- Work within ISO 7 cleanroom environments
- Perform gowning and aseptic processing procedures
- Conduct and support media fills
- Assist with production readiness and product launch efforts
- Work with sterile manufacturing equipment, including repeater pumps

Develop Processes & Documentation

- Create and review batch production records
- Perform formulation and scaling calculations
- Develop and update SOPs
- Build documentation and workflows that support quality and compliance
- Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain accurate records and procedures

Mentor & Develop Team Members

- Supervise pharmacy staff
- Train and mentor pharmacists and technicians
- Support onboarding and professional development
- Help build a collaborative and high-performing team culture

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

- Active Pharmacist license or ability to obtain Missouri licensure
- Sterile compounding experience
- Experience working in ISO 7 cleanroom environments
- Strong understanding of aseptic technique and gowning procedures
- Knowledge of pharmacy documentation and operational processes
- Leadership, supervisory, or mentoring experience
- Strong communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

- 503A or 503B compounding experience
- Previous Pharmacist-in-Charge experience
- Batch record development and review experience
- Media fill experience
- Formulation calculation experience
- Experience with repeater pumps and sterile manufacturing processes
- SOP development and process improvement experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Maryland Heights, MO.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $109.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be
