Job Title: Revit Designer Job Description
The Revit Designer will create detailed module drawings for fast fulfillment stations in rural areas, supporting grocery and quick-moving consumer items. This role focuses on designing smaller delivery and fulfillment stations, typically between 5,000 and 10,000 square feet, as well as additional concepts that support future initiatives. You will translate engineering requirements into accurate interior CAD and Revit drawings, contribute to high-quality design sets, and support safe, efficient, and scalable delivery station operations.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed module drawings and layouts in Revit and AutoCAD for grocery delivery stations and small fast-moving item fulfillment stations, typically ranging from 5,000 to 10,000 square feet.
- Work closely with Design Engineers to understand delivery station requirements and standards, and translate them into complete, accurate interior CAD drawings.
- Collaborate with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, World Wide Engineering, Pre-Construction, Construction teams, external architects, material-handling equipment vendors, and Launch Execution teams to deliver fully coordinated, approved design sets.
- Review and engage with internal and external stakeholders on permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floor plans, responding to design-related questions and clarifications.
- Support the design quality control process by participating in daily peer reviews, following design checklists and standards, and actively soliciting feedback from Design Engineers to achieve zero-defect designs.
- Produce new designs, post-permit design updates, expansions, and retrofit drawings that support associate and driver safety, quality, productivity, and capacity increases for delivery stations.
- Implement new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into standard design packages to continuously improve design efficiency and consistency.
- Manage and prioritize work across a large number of concurrent projects, ensuring timely delivery of design packages and effective communication with leadership and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present design concepts, construction documents, and layout options to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Maintain strong documentation practices and version control for design files, ensuring that all drawings remain current and aligned with project requirements.
- Use Bluebeam and other tools to review, mark up, and coordinate construction documents and design updates.
- Communicate clearly and professionally in both written and verbal formats, including meeting facilitation with diverse stakeholder groups.
Essential Skills
- Minimum 2+ years of Revit drafting and design experience.
- Minimum 3+ years of project coordination experience in a design or construction-related environment.
- Minimum 3+ years of drafting experience focused on facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural projects.
- Minimum 3+ years of extensive AutoCAD operating experience, with emphasis on AutoCAD 2018 or later, preferably in Architecture within a Design, Civil, Construction, or Architecture capacity.
- Strong Revit drafting and design skills, including the ability to produce accurate, detailed drawings and layouts.
- Proficiency in architecture-related CAD work, with an understanding of architectural floor plans, preferably in large warehouse or industrial building environments.
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Excel for tracking data and project information.
- Intermediate working knowledge of MS Word for documentation and reporting.
- Intermediate working knowledge of Bluebeam for reviewing, marking up, and coordinating construction documents.
- Associates degree or equivalent post-secondary education.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workloads, and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and often ambiguous environment while maintaining high quality standards.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences and stakeholders.
- Ability to facilitate meetings and present design information clearly to leadership and cross-functional teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience working with architectural floor plans for large warehouse-type environments or industrial buildings.
- Background in commercial, industrial, or structural drafting and design.
- Experience supporting facility layouts and manufacturing design projects.
- Comfort working across multiple projects simultaneously and presenting work to leadership and stakeholders.
- Familiarity with construction documents and design standards in design, civil, construction, or architecture settings.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to process improvements and implement new template designs and safety processes.
- Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams such as engineering, construction, architects, and vendors.
- High level of accuracy and completeness in design work, with a commitment to zero-defect design quality.
Work Environment
This role operates in a hybrid work environment based in Bellevue, WA, with an expectation of working in the office three days per week and remotely for the remaining days. You will work within a professional design and engineering setting that emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, construction, and architecture partners. The work involves using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, and standard office productivity tools such as MS Excel and MS Word. The environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with multiple concurrent projects and evolving requirements, offering opportunities to contribute to innovative grocery delivery and fast-moving item stations. Dress code is typical of a professional office environment.

This is a Contract position based out of Bellevue, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.50 - $40.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
