Job Description
The Pizza Cook is responsible for preparing pizzas and other food items to order in an efficient, professional, and consistent manner. This position ensures food quality, presentation, sanitation, and guest service standards are maintained while supporting the overall kitchen operation.
Job Requirements
- Prepare specialty pizzas according to recipes and specifications provided by the Sous Chef and Executive Chef.
- Prepare and serve specialty pizzas and gelato to guests at the counter in a friendly and professional manner.
- Maintain proper portion sizes and ensure the quality, freshness, and presentation of all food products meet company standards.
- Ensure all food leaving the kitchen has a valid ticket, including manager meals.
- Properly clean, disinfect, and sanitize cutting boards, worktables, equipment, and other food preparation areas.
- Maintain kitchen and Health Department sanitation and food safety standards at all times.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and properly stocked throughout service.
- Properly wrap, label, date, rotate, and store all food items in their designated areas.
- Assist with food preparation between the main line and pizza station as needed.
- Assist the Sushi Chef with food preparation when necessary.
- Maintain effective communication with Management and other kitchen team members regarding food preparation, inventory, guest needs, and other operational concerns.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen procedures.
- Maintain a positive, professional, and courteous demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, Management, and vendors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma and/or GED preferred.
- Must have the required job-related tools and equipment.
- Previous experience preparing and cooking pizzas is required.

- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills are a plus.
- Must maintain a clean, well-groomed, and professional appearance.
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively with team members, Management, guests, and other individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including varying shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work in an environment that may include secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
