Slot Service Representative – Graveyard Shift

Job Summary

The Slot Service Representative is responsible for providing exceptional customer service throughout all slot areas of the casino. This position assists guests with slot machine questions, promotions, jackpot transactions, and ticket issues while maintaining a visible and attentive presence on the casino floor.

The Slot Service Representative will also support the Players Club by enrolling new members, issuing new and replacement cards, answering questions regarding points and comps, and assisting guests with available promotions and benefits.

This is a Graveyard Shift position and requires the ability to work overnight hours, weekends, holidays, and other scheduled shifts as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Monitor assigned slot areas and provide guests with instruction and assistance regarding slot machine functions, payouts, and general questions.

- Identify, process, and complete jackpot transactions promptly, accurately, and with a high level of guest service.

- Monitor assigned areas and remain alert to potential slot cheating methods or suspicious activity, reporting concerns to the appropriate supervisor or department.

- Handle routine guest complaints and incidents with professionalism, courtesy, and discretion.

- Recognize situations that require the attention or assistance of supervisory personnel and escalate appropriately.

- Maintain knowledge of casino events, promotions, amenities, and services in order to accurately answer guest questions.

- Provide excellent customer service to all guests throughout the casino.

- Assist guests with casino promotions, change requests, jackpot payouts, slot machine issues, and ticket-related concerns.

- Work in the Players Club to:

Enroll new members and issue Players Club cards.

- Issue replacement cards and update customer information as authorized.

- Access current customer account information.

- Answer questions regarding points, comps, club credits, and available benefits.

- Issue approved comps and vendor coupons.

- Maintain composure, professionalism, and excellent judgment in a fast-paced and potentially stressful environment.

- Maintain accountability for individual employee cash banks issued in various amounts.

- Follow all casino, gaming, cash-handling, and customer service policies and procedures.

- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor when interacting with guests, team members, management, and vendors.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

- Must be 21 years of age or older.

- High School Diploma or GED required.

- Previous cash-handling experience required.

- Basic knowledge of S.D.S. or Casino Marketplace is a plus.

- Previous casino, Players Club, slot service, or customer service experience is preferred.

Additional Requirements

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Ability to respond appropriately to common guest inquiries and complaints.

- Ability to interact professionally and courteously with guests who may be under the influence of alcohol.

- Ability to work effectively with team members, supervisors, and management.

- Must be comfortable working in an environment with secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.

- Must be flexible and available to work overnight/graveyard shifts, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as business needs require.

- Ability to maintain accuracy and attention to detail while handling cash and guest transactions.

- Ability to remain alert and attentive during overnight hours.
