JOB SUMMARY

Assist the Office of Student Life by planning and promoting co-curricular activities via Student Activities on the Midland College Campus. This position focuses on student and organizational involvement on campus.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

- Work with volunteers, organization leaders, and MC faculty and staff to organize all programs and events

- Aid the Chap Pantry with organizing, cleaning, and inventory.

- Available for open pantry day check-ins and work the desk.

- Design and conduct educational, diverse, and entertaining events

- Events may include student group activities and involvement opportunities (e.g., organizational excellence awards, involvement fairs, fundraisers, and socials Work alongside Student Activities Coordinators as well as other SA interns to produce, execute, and maintain contracts with vendors, entertainment, etc

- Assist in the maintenance of eSports Arena and working the front desk.

- Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Must be a currently enrolled student and registered for classes

- Must meet all Work Study eligibility requirements through the Financial Aid Office Basic computer skills

- Strong organizational skills

- Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

WORK ENVIRONMENT

- Typical office

- Business Hours

- M-Th 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. F 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

summer M-Th 7:30 a.m. – 5:30 pm

- Periodic evening and weekend hours during peak periods (e.g., open enrollment, payroll)

- Occasional travel (less than 10%)

Physical Demands

- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 pounds

- Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time

- Use of manual dexterity

- Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

- Travel for training, meetings, and events both in and out of town may be required

Salary Range: $9.75 per hour
