Join a high‑impact, mission‑driven modernization effort supporting the Department of Defense within the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS) program. As an SAP Functional Consultant for Materials Management (MM), you will play a critical role in transforming supply chain, procurement, inventory, and logistics operations across the DoD. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside functional experts, technical teams, and government stakeholders to deliver next‑generation SAP S/4HANA solutions that support USTRANSCOM’s global transportation mission.

Responsibilities:

- Configuring and supporting SAP S/4HANA MM processes, including procurement, inventory management, valuation, material master, and purchasing.
- Translating customer requirements into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications.
- Ensuring seamless end‑to‑end integration across SAP modules such as SD, FI, CO, EWM, TM, and EAM.
- Participating in Fit‑to‑Standard workshops and design sessions to shape future-state business processes.
- Creating high-quality Functional Design Documents (FDDs), configuration documentation, test cases, user guides, and training materials.
- Executing unit, integration, regression, and UAT testing; driving defect analysis and resolution.
- Collaborating with ABAP developers on enhancements, interfaces, forms, workflows, and conversions.
- Supporting data migration for materials, vendors, purchasing documents, inventory, and pricing.
- Assisting with release planning, production deployments, and post‑go‑live stabilization.
- Troubleshooting production issues and delivering Tier II/Tier III support.
- Engaging in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Supporting ATO, cybersecurity, and audit activities as needed.

Qualifications:

Required:

- An active DoD Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of SAP MM functional experience.
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA.
- Experience writing functional specifications for custom developments.
- Experience supporting testing cycles and defect resolution.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder interaction skills.
- Strong expertise in MM processes, including:
– Procurement & Purchasing
– Inventory Management
– Material Master & Vendor Master
– Source Determination
– Valuation
– Physical Inventory

Desired:

- Experience with SAP Activate methodology.
- Experience supporting Department of Defense or Federal ERP programs.
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori applications.
- Experience with Solution Manager or SAP Cloud ALM.
- Understanding of transportation and logistics business processes.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum software development.
- Experience integrating MM with:
o             SAP Ariba
o             EWM
o             TM
o             FI/CO
o             SD

Desired Certifications:

- SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Materials Management.
- Agile Scrum Certification (CSM, SAFe, or equivalent).
- Security+ (preferred for DoD environments).

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
