The Opportunity:
Join a mission-critical team modernizing enterprise resource planning for the Department of Defense! As an SAP Functional Consultant supporting the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS), you'll play a pivotal role in transforming how procurement and supply chain operations support vital national defense missions.

In this dynamic position, you'll serve as a functional expert on SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay processes, partnering with government stakeholders, business leaders, and technical teams to design and optimize end-to-end procurement solutions. You'll have the opportunity to apply your SAP expertise to meaningful work that directly impacts military readiness and logistics operations across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
SAP Configuration & Design

- Configure and support SAP S/4HANA Procure-to-Pay (PTP) and Materials Management (MM) functionality
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into functional designs, system configurations, and technical specifications
- Configure purchasing organizations, purchasing groups, plants, storage locations, valuation areas, and account determination

End-to-End Process Support

- Support the complete procurement lifecycle from requisition through payment, including:Requisition Management and Purchase OrdersSource Determination and Vendor ManagementMaterial Master Data and Inventory ManagementGoods Receipt and Invoice VerificationStock Transfers and Physical InventoryProcurement Analytics and Reporting

Documentation & Technical Collaboration

- Develop Functional Design Documents (FDDs), business process documentation, configuration guides, and training materials
- Prepare functional specifications for Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, and Workflows (RICEFW)
- Partner with ABAP developers to design and implement custom enhancements and interfaces

Testing & Quality Assurance

- Perform unit testing, system integration testing, and user acceptance testing
- Support defect resolution and root cause analysis
- Provide Tier II/Tier III production support for operational issues

Implementation & Continuous Improvement

- Support data migration for vendor, material, purchasing, pricing, and inventory master data
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify opportunities for procurement efficiency and supply chain optimization
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives
- Assist with production deployments, release planning, and system stabilization
- Support cybersecurity, audit, and Authority to Operate (ATO) activities

Qualifications:

Required:

- An active DoD Secret clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of SAP functional experience supporting Procure-to-Pay and Materials Management
- Hands-on experience implementing or supporting SAP S/4HANA
- Strong understanding of procurement operations, purchasing, inventory management, material master, vendor master, invoice verification, stock management, and procurement reporting
- Proven ability to develop functional specifications for custom SAP enhancements
- Experience supporting testing, production support, and system enhancements
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills

Desired:

- Experience supporting Department of Defense ERP modernization initiatives
- SAP Activate implementation methodology experience
- Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
- Experience integrating PTP/MM with other SAP modules:Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO)Funds Management (FM)Sales & Distribution (SD)Transportation Management (TM)Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)Global Trade Services (GTS)

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
