You'll lead the design and optimization of Transportation Management solutions with deep integration into Financial Accounting and other SAP modules, ensuring seamless freight cost settlement and financial posting accuracy across the enterprise.

Responsibilities:
Transportation Management Design & Configuration

- Lead the design, configuration, and support of end-to-end Transportation Management processes
- Configure freight order management, planning, carrier selection, and execution workflows
- Oversee freight settlement and charge calculation processes
- Support transportation cost visibility and analytics capabilities
- Manage enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives

Financial Integration & Freight Settlement

- Ensure seamless integration between TM and Financial Accounting (FI) modules for accurate financial transactions
- Configure freight settlement documents and invoice verification processes
- Support automatic posting of freight costs within SAP and through relevant interfaces to government financial systems of record
- Ensure accurate revenue and cost recognition in compliance with financial standards
- Configure general ledger account determination and cost posting logic

Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams on freight invoice reconciliation
- Work closely with S/4HANA, TM, Financial Accounting (FI), Materials Management (MM), Sales & Distribution (SD), and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) teams
- Partner with interface teams to ensure accurate data exchange with government financial systems of record
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions and functional designs

Business Process Optimization

- Apply strong business process knowledge in logistics and supply chain operations
- Support end-to-end order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes
- Analyze freight cost distribution and settlement workflows
- Drive on-time project delivery through effective planning and execution
- Provide analytical problem-solving to optimize transportation operations

Qualifications:

Required:

- An active DoD Secret clearance
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Transportation Management (TM)
- Strong knowledge of freight settlement, cost distribution, and charge calculation
- Hands-on configuration experience in both TM and FI modules
- Deep understanding of integration points between TM, FI, SD, and MM
- Proven experience with:Freight cost calculation and settlement documentsInvoice verification processesGeneral ledger account determination and cost postingsEnd-to-end order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Self-motivated, team-focused individual with a sense of urgency
- Strong business process knowledge in logistics and transportation operations
- Track record of delivering projects on time

Desired:

- Experience with embedded TM in SAP S/4HANA
- Experience with intercompany freight billing scenarios
- Knowledge of revenue recognition impacts of freight charges
- Familiarity with EDI/API integrations with carriers and third-party logistics providers
- Federal government or public sector environment experience
- Experience in global transportation and international logistics
- DoD IAT Level I Baseline Certification
- Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent experience
- SAP certification in Transportation Management (TM) or Financial Accounting (FI)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$75,200-$158,100
