Join a mission-critical initiative as an SAP Yard Logistics and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) Functional Subject Matter Expert supporting the Joint Transportation Management System (JTMS). This is your opportunity to make a strategic impact on end-to-end logistics execution for one of the most complex supply chain operations in the nation.

In this high-visibility role, you'll serve as the functional authority for SAP S/4HANA Yard Logistics and EWM within an Agile environment, designing and optimizing solutions that modernize physical logistics operations. You'll bridge the gap between system capabilities and real-world movement of goods, ensuring seamless integration across yard operations, warehouse processes, and transportation planning.

Responsibilities:
SAP Yard Logistics & EWM Functional Leadership

- Serve as the functional authority for SAP Yard Logistics (YL) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) within S/4HANA environments
- Design and configure comprehensive solutions supporting: Yard structure, checkpoints, and gate processing systems Vehicle check-in/check-out, dock door assignment, and yard task management Warehouse inbound, outbound, and internal movement processes Inventory management, staging, picking, packing, and shipping operations
- Ensure seamless alignment between yard operations and warehouse execution activities

End-to-End Logistics Integration

- Lead integration efforts between EWM, Yard Logistics, and Transportation Management (TM) modules to enable: Seamless handoffs between warehouse, yard, and transportation processes Real-time visibility of shipments, assets, and inventory across the supply chain
- Collaborate with SD, MM, and TM functional teams to deliver end-to-end supply chain execution
- Ensure synchronization of physical operations with system transactions and real-time status updates

Agile Product Development & Delivery

- Operate within a high-performing Agile team environment, actively participating in: Sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Translate complex operational needs into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional designs
- Partner with Product Owners to prioritize logistics and warehouse capabilities aligned with mission requirements
- Deliver iterative enhancements that meet program goals and user needs

Requirements Analysis & Solution Design

- Conduct comprehensive fit-gap analysis between current logistics operations and SAP S/4HANA EWM/YL capabilities
- Develop detailed functional specifications and configuration designs supporting scalable, efficient operations
- Recommend solutions that balance standard SAP functionality with operational realities in complex, multi-site environments
- Influence solution design across transportation, supply chain, and asset management domains

Testing, Validation & Deployment Excellence

- Lead and support functional and integration testing (SIT/UAT) for warehouse and yard processes
- Validate end-to-end scenarios including receiving, staging, yard movements, and shipment execution
- Support cutover planning, deployment activities, and post-go-live stabilization efforts
- Ensure successful adoption and operational readiness

Operational Optimization & Continuous Improvement

- Analyze warehouse and yard operations to identify efficiency gains, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, accuracy, and system usability
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives based on user feedback, operational metrics, and industry best practices

Data Integrity & Issue Resolution

- Ensure accuracy of inventory data, yard status, and logistics transactions across integrated systems
- Support development and validation of operational reporting and executive dashboards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration and process issues, providing thorough root cause analysis

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Influence

- Collaborate effectively with: Transportation Management (TM) teams for shipment planning and execution Materials Management (MM) for inventory and procurement alignment Finance (FI/CO/FM) for inventory valuation and financial integration Asset/EAM teams for equipment and infrastructure coordination
- Ensure consistent, integrated end-to-end logistics processes across all domains

- Clearance : An active DoD Secret clearance
- Education & Experience : Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field 7–10+ years of SAP functional experience with deep expertise in EWM and Yard Logistics Or equivalent combination of education and experience
- SAP Technical Expertise : Deep, hands-on experience with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) in S/4HANA environments. Expert-level knowledge of SAP Yard Logistics (YL) functionality and configuration. Strong understanding of SAP Transportation Management (TM) integration points. Solid knowledge of SD (Sales & Distribution) and MM (Materials Management) modules. Experience with warehouse processes: inbound/outbound, inventory management, staging, picking, packing, shipping. Understanding of yard operations: gate processing, vehicle management, dock door assignment, yard tasks
- Logistics & Supply Chain Knowledge : Proven track record designing and optimizing end-to-end logistics execution. Deep understanding of physical logistics operations and how they map to SAP processes. Experience with complex, multi-site warehouse and yard operations. Knowledge of inventory valuation, asset management, and financial integration points
- Agile & Delivery Experience : Demonstrated experience working within Agile development teams. Ability to participate effectively in sprint ceremonies and Agile ceremonies. Experience translating business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria. Track record of delivering iterative enhancements in fast-paced environments
- Professional Skills : Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities for complex integration challenges. Strong requirements gathering and fit-gap analysis capabilities. Excellent communication skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Experience leading testing efforts (SIT, UAT) and supporting deployment activities. Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and provide root cause analysis. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands

Desired:

- SAP certification in EWM, Yard Logistics, or Transportation Management
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or upgrades
- Knowledge of DoD or government logistics operations and requirements
- Experience with data migration and master data management
- Familiarity with warehouse automation technologies (RFID, barcode scanning, etc.)
- Experience with SAP Fiori apps for logistics execution
- Understanding of integration technologies (APIs, IDocs, middleware)
- Experience with reporting tools (SAP Analytics Cloud, Business Warehouse, etc.)
- Background in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)

The proposed salary range for this position is:
$90,300-$189,600
