LaneStaffing is seeking an experienced Facilities Service Technician to support building operations in Houston. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional with strong troubleshooting skills and commercial facilities experience.
The Facilities Service Technician performs intermediate-level work in the installation, maintenance, and service of building operating systems, including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, and structural systems.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Respond to and troubleshoot facility work orders
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs
- Complete general facility maintenance including:
Painting & patching
- Carpentry & fixtures
- Caulking & flooring
- Locksmith services
- Assist other technicians as needed
- Monitor and log readings from critical equipment
- Diagnose system faults and take corrective action
- Use required PPE and standard tools
- Escalate complex issues appropriately
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 4 years of facilities operations experience
- Valid Texas Driver License
- Must meet driving insurance eligibility requirements
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently
- Comfortable working from elevated heights
- Able to lift up to 80 pounds
- Basic computer proficiency
