Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN)

Position Overview

LaneStaffing is seeking an experienced and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a temporary assignment with one of our public-sector healthcare clients in Houston, Texas.

The LVN will provide case management and direct nursing support for eligible mothers and infants, helping ensure patients receive necessary vaccinations, medications, and related healthcare services. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong clinical skills, professionalism, integrity, accountability, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide case management services for eligible mothers and infants.
- Assist in ensuring patients receive necessary vaccinations as ordered.
- Administer vaccines and medications in accordance with established procedures.
- Take and document vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and respiration.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient and organizational information.
- Interact professionally with patients, members of the public, and team members.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

This position includes face-to-face interaction with the public and work with or near vulnerable populations.

Minimum Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED.
- Graduation from a school of vocational or practical nursing.
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license issued by the State of Texas.
- Minimum of one year of nursing experience.
- Current CPR certification.
- Valid Texas Driver License.
- Ability to meet all required health, safety, and onboarding requirements.

Schedule & Compensation

Pay: $32.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Overtime: Not currently authorized

Health & Onboarding Requirements

Selected candidates must be current on required vaccinations and able to complete applicable Employee Health requirements. Candidates should be prepared to:

- Provide immunization/shot records.
- Complete a tuberculosis (TB) skin test.
- Receive vaccinations that are not current, if required.
- Complete blood work if needed.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Final candidates must successfully complete all required pre-employment and credentialing requirements, including:

- Criminal background check
- Drug screening
- Texas LVN license verification
- CPR certification verification
- Driver's license verification
- Required health and immunization clearance

Physical & Work Environment Requirements

The position may require lifting items weighing up to approximately 40 pounds and extended periods of walking. The work environment may include exposure to contagious diseases and other conditions associated with a healthcare/public health environment.
