Deputy Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager

The Leidos Digital Sector has a unique and exciting opportunity to offer we are seeking a Deputy Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager , who would like to expand their knowledge and grow with the Leidos team on the (AFNCR ITS) Air Force National Capital Region IT Services Program at Joint Base Bolling, MD.

The Leidos Digital Sector is focused on digital modernization services such as enterprise IT solutions, cloud migrations, cybersecurity, analytics, SecDevOps, digital experience monitoring, and AI-enabled operations.

The AFNCR IT Services program provides support services for information systems for Headquarters Air Force (HAF), Air Force District of Washington (AFDW), Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), Joint Chiefs of Staff, and other Air Force activities within the AFNCR, missions to include the Pentagon, Joint Base Andrews (JBA), Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling (JBAB), and other locations, leased spaces, and alternate sites. The major support areas required are IT Operations and Maintenance; Plans, Projects, and Engineering (PP&E); and National Military Command Center (NMCC). The selected candidate will assists in leading end-to-end supply chain, asset management, and warehouse operations across the Air Force National Capital Region Information Technology Services (AFNCR ITS) enterprise. In this role, you will oversee IT hardware lifecycle tracking, ensure accountability and DoD/Air Force compliance for all accountable property, and coordinate daily logistics support across multi-site mission facilities.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Support the Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager in overseeing AFNCR logistics, warehouse, and IT asset management operations supporting equipment movement, storage, distribution, field delivery, return processing, staging, shipping, receiving, and lifecycle execution.
- Serve as the day-to-day operational deputy for warehouse and inventory activities, helping coordinate priorities, resources, schedules, and service delivery across logistics and asset management functions.
- Assist in managing enterprise IT Asset Management activities across Hardware Asset Management, Software Asset Management, Technology Refresh, lifecycle support, field operations, warehouse accountability, and customer fulfillment.
- Help maintain accountability and operational control of more than 100,000 accountable configuration items across the enterprise IT environment.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations involving laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, peripherals, network equipment, software media, accessories, spare stock, refresh stock, and other accountable IT assets.
- Supervise warehouse receiving, inventory control, binning, storage, stock monitoring, staging, kitting, packing, shipping, loading, delivery preparation, customer pickup, return processing, and disposition support activities.
- Ensure warehouse stock levels, logistical inventories, storage practices, delivery readiness, and asset handling controls are sustained in accordance with contract requirements, local procedures, and mission needs.
- Help maintain warehouse spaces, storage cages, staging areas, receiving locations, loading docks, and outbound processing areas in an organized, secure, audit-ready, and operationally efficient condition.
- Enforce established warehouse safety, equipment handling, chain-of-custody, material movement, documentation, and customer handoff procedures; identify process gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure IT assets are accurately tracked, documented, reconciled, transferred, refreshed, stored, deployed, recovered, and dispositioned in approved systems of record, including the Configuration Management Database.
- Coordinate recurring and annual inventory execution across operational units, warehouse stock locations, customer sites, field environments, classified work areas, and geographically separated locations.
- Support reconciliation between contractor-managed asset records and government accountability systems, including BMC Helix, DPAS, CMDB, ITSM platforms, inventory databases, and other approved tools.
- Assist with Software Asset Management activities supporting software inventory development, software license accountability, compliance tracking, above-baseline software visibility, and baseline software requirement analysis.
- Coordinate with Equipment Control Officers, customer representatives, site leads, technical teams, program personnel, and service delivery stakeholders to resolve inventory, logistics, warehouse, and asset accountability issues.
- Prepare status updates, operational reports, inventory summaries, warehouse metrics, audit support documentation, and executive-level inputs for leadership review.
- Monitor performance against contractual metrics, task order requirements, inventory completion goals, warehouse audit requirements, refresh schedules, delivery timelines, and service performance expectations.
- Identify operational risks, inventory discrepancies, warehouse issues, process bottlenecks, and service delivery concerns; elevate issues to the manager and recommend mitigation actions.
- Lead assigned logistics, inventory, warehouse, refresh, deployment, and process improvement initiatives in support of program objectives and mission requirements.
- Act for the Logistics and Inventory Operations Manager during absences or as directed, ensuring continuity of operations and sustained coordination with government leadership and program stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Project Management, or a related field with a 5+ years of relevant experience or a Masters and 3+ years of relevant experience, additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT operations, logistics, warehouse management, inventory management, IT asset management, field operations, supply chain operations, service delivery, or enterprise technology lifecycle management.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience leading teams in an IT operations, logistics, warehouse, ITAM, field services, service delivery, or federal contract environment.
- Experience working with ITSM platforms, CMDBs, ticketing systems, inventory systems, asset tracking tools, warehouse management tools, or government property accountability systems.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL-aligned service delivery practices, request fulfillment, ITSM workflows, operational reporting, asset accountability, and customer support processes.
- Experience developing SOPs, Work Instructions, Knowledge Base Articles, training materials, service catalog documentation, warehouse procedures, logistics workflows, and enterprise communications.
- Strong project management skills with experience leading complex operational initiatives involving multiple teams, sites, schedules, stakeholders, budgets, and deliverables.
- Experience producing executive-level reports, operational briefs, project status updates, performance metrics, deliverable packages, strategic communications, and corrective action plans.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, customer service, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, high-visibility, compliance-driven environment.
- Active Secret clearance or higher.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience supporting Department of War, Department of the Air Force, federal government, or National Capital Region IT operations.
- Experience with BMC Helix, Remedy, ServiceNow, DPAS, Microsoft Excel, Power BI, SharePoint, Teams, warehouse management systems, barcode scanners, asset tracking tools, or similar enterprise platforms.
- ITIL certification, Project Management Professional certification, Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional, Certified Software Asset Manager, Certified IT Asset Manager, Lean Six Sigma, supply chain certification, logistics certification, or related credentials preferred.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $82,550.00 - $149,225.00
