The Software Tester will work with the CEMA (Cyber and Electromagnetic Activities) team. Our products are responsible for training the warfighter to recognize, identify, and respond to real-world CEMA attacks on their systems that might not otherwise be seen until they're on the battlefield. Our team has an additional product responsible for alerting our varied array of customers of potential cyber and EW attacks by creative adversaries highly skilled at attacking. Our CEMA team is comprised of both red and blue: hackers, programmers, mathematicians, and even physicists, so knowledge is easily shared among team members who are willing to ask questions. Problem solving, troubleshooting, software quality, and a desire to break things for good reasons remain the foundation of this role.

Primary Responsibilities :

- Performing test planning, monitoring, and execution.
- Developing and executing manual and automated software test cases in Linux/Windows environments with significant focus on repeatability.
- Reviewing and verifying system-level and software-level requirements while working with team members to better understand them.
- Discovering, documenting, reproducing, and tracking technical defects so team members can efficiently resolve issues.
- Performing functional, integration, regression, and system testing throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborating with software developers, systems engineers, and other stakeholders to improve software quality and test coverage.
- Supporting Agile software development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release validation.
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of automated testing capabilities and regression test suites.

Basic Qualifications:

- US Citizenship required and must be able to obtain a Top Secret security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Cyber Security, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related Technical Degree.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in software testing, software quality assurance, software validation, or a related quality engineering role.
- Experience in C++, Python, JavaScript, Java, or C#.
- Experience developing and executing manual and automated software test cases.
- Experience reviewing software and system requirements to develop comprehensive test coverage.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows.
- Experience documenting, tracking, and verifying software defects using defect management tools.
- Problem-solving skills (imagine a hundred exclamation points behind this qualification).

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience developing and maintaining automated and/or unit test frameworks to support repeatable software testing.
- Experience using Qt and Python to develop, execute, or support software testing activities.
- Experience working with Jenkins and Groovy scripting to support continuous integration and automated testing pipelines.
- Experience developing and maintaining Bash and/or PowerShell scripts to automate testing and system administration tasks.
- Experience using Jira for defect tracking, test management, and Agile software development processes.

## Pay Range:
Pay Range $59,150.00 - $106,925.00
