About the Role:

As a Medical Assistant with QMG in Pittsfield, you will be an important part of the care team, supporting providers and patients throughout the clinic day. You will combine hands-on clinical care with patient communication, coordination, and follow-up to help create an efficient and welcoming experience.

Schedule & Work Environment

- Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 7:00AM - 5:00PM.
- Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs.
- No routine weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or on-call requirements.
- Fast-paced orthopedic specialty clinic supporting multiple providers and a high volume of patient interactions.

Primary Responsibilities

- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medications, medical history, and other clinical information.
- Prepare patients for examinations and assist providers with treatments and procedures within scope of practice.
- Administer medications and injections as directed and within scope.
- Respond to patient messages and communicate provider instructions and follow-up information.
- Coordinate referrals, laboratory work, imaging, prescriptions, prior authorizations, and follow-up care as assigned.
- Provide patients with education and instructions as directed by the provider.
- Accurately document patient care and communication in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain examination rooms, equipment, and supplies and support efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.

Qualifications

- High school diploma or GED required.
- Medical Assistant education or previous clinical experience preferred.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous primary care, ambulatory, or physician office experience preferred.
- Strong communication, organization, and patient service skills.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $16.12 - $24.18 per hour , with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
