About the Role:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Quincy Medical Group, you will perform diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures that provide physicians with important information used to evaluate and manage patient care. You will combine technical expertise with compassionate patient care while ensuring studies are performed safely, accurately, and efficiently.

Schedule & Work Environment

- Part-time position with a varied schedule based on department needs. Evening and weekend availability is required.
- This is a patient-facing role in a fast-paced healthcare environment where priorities and patient volumes may change throughout the shift.

Primary Responsibilities

- Prepare patients and perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures according to established protocols and provider orders.
- Prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with applicable regulations and scope of practice.
- Explain procedures to patients, obtain appropriate clinical information, and monitor patients throughout testing.
- Operate nuclear medicine imaging equipment and evaluate images for technical quality.
- Accurately document procedures and maintain patient and imaging records.
- Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, quality assurance, and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain equipment, supplies, and appropriate documentation related to nuclear medicine operations.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other members of the care team.

Qualifications

- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program required.
- Current applicable nuclear medicine certification and Illinois accreditation/licensure required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous nuclear medicine experience preferred.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety, patient care, and imaging quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently while collaborating with the broader care team.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $36.93 - $55.40 per hour determined by experience, education, skills, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials and other incentives where applicable.
