About the Role:
As a Patient Access Representative with QMG in Mt. Sterling, you will often be one of the first people patients interact with when they contact or visit our clinic. You will help patients feel welcomed and supported while managing the important details that keep appointments and clinic operations running smoothly.
This role is a great fit for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working with computers, and enjoys helping people. Healthcare experience is helpful, but strong customer service skills and a willingness to learn are just as important.
Schedule & Work Environment
- Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM.
- Based at Quincy Medical Group in Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
- No overnight shifts.

Primary Responsibilities
- Welcome patients and assist with check-in and check-out.
- Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments.
- Accurately enter and update patient demographic, insurance, and registration information.
- Verify insurance information and collect required payments when applicable.
- Answer incoming calls, assist patients with questions, and route messages to the appropriate team member.
- Maintain accurate patient records and complete registration and scheduling tasks within the electronic medical record.
- Communicate with providers, clinical staff, and other departments to help coordinate patient needs.
- Protect patient privacy and maintain confidentiality throughout all interactions.
- Support daily clinic operations and provide a positive, helpful experience for patients and families.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous customer service, reception, scheduling, or healthcare experience preferred.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately enter and maintain patient information.
- Comfort using computers and learning scheduling and electronic medical record systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a friendly and professional approach.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $15.35 - $23.03 per hour , with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
