About the Role:

As an RN/LPN in Orthopedics, you will provide clinical support to patients experiencing a wide range of orthopedic conditions, injuries, and surgical needs. You will work closely with providers and the care team to support patient visits, procedures, education, and follow-up care.

Schedule & Work Environment

- Full-time position, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM.
- Hours may vary based on provider and departmental needs.
- No routine weekends, holidays, overnight shifts, or on-call requirements.
- Fast-paced orthopedic specialty clinic supporting multiple providers and a high volume of patient interactions.

Primary Responsibilities

- Room patients and obtain vital signs, medications, medical history, and other clinical information.
- Assist providers with examinations, treatments, orthopedic procedures, casting, bracing, and other clinical needs within scope of practice.
- Respond to patient messages and clinical questions, communicate provider recommendations, and assist with follow-up care.
- Coordinate referrals, imaging, laboratory work, medications, and other orders as directed.
- Provide education regarding treatment plans, procedures, medications, post-surgical care, and recovery instructions.
- Accurately document patient care and communication in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with providers and team members to maintain efficient patient flow and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

- Current Illinois RN or LPN license required.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required.
- Current CPR/BLS certification required.
- Previous orthopedic, specialty clinic, or ambulatory nursing experience preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment, organization, communication, and patient education skills.

The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $25.00 - $37.50 per hour for RN candidates and $18.66 - $27.99 per hour for LPN candidates , with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
