Position Overview

PrideStaff is seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Finisher to join a growing RIM (Reaction Injection Molding) manufacturing team. Reporting to the Finishing Lead, you will play a key role in preparing, surface-finishing, and assembling molded plastic and wood parts/products to exact quality standards.

If you enjoy craft-level detail work, have experience with hand/power tools, and take pride in transforming raw molded parts into finished products, this opportunity is for you! On-the-job training is provided for candidates with the right drive and mechanical aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

Surface Finishing: Sand, bead-blast, and smooth molded parts; inspect raw parts for defects and apply filling compounds as needed.

Assembly & Bonding: Glue plastic and wood components, install hardware inserts, and bond finished parts.

Tool & Equipment Operation: Safely operate finishing tools including power drills, grinders, sanders, and bead-blasters.

Precision & Quality: Work carefully around corners, radii, and delicate filigree areas to avoid damaging parts during the sanding/finishing process.

Documentation: Fill out finishing router sheets and log work accurately in and out of the company ERP system.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education & Experience: High school diploma or GED required. 1–3 months of related experience/training in manufacturing, finishing, or trades is preferred, but equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.

Skillset: Basic experience operating hand tools and power equipment (sanders, drills, grinders).

Attention to Detail: Ability to spot visual defects on molded products and fix them with precision.

Computer Skills: Basic ability to navigate computer software for daily ERP logging and tracking.

Physical Demands & Working Conditions

Physical Capabilities: Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and using hands/fingers to manipulate tools and parts. Must regularly lift and move up to 25 lbs.

PPE Required: Must consistently wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including dust masks/respirators, earplugs, safety glasses, and finger protectors.

Work Environment: Active industrial environment with regular exposure to airborne dust particles, fumes, finishing chemicals, and high noise levels.
