Westpac is bringing together leaders from across the enterprise to help shape the future of Fraud & Scams and Financial Crime. You'll join while the program is still taking shape, with a genuine opportunity to influence its direction and help establish the foundations for long-term success.
About the role:
We're looking for an experienced program leader who can bring people together around a shared purpose, navigate complexity and translate strategy into delivery outcomes.
You’ll:
- Build and lead high-performing, collaborative and engaged teams , developing capability, creating accountability and empowering people to deliver sustainable outcomes.

- Lead business readiness , adoption and operational transition activities.
- Support benefits delivery aligned to intended customer, risk and business outcomes .
As the program evolves, you'll help move workstreams from discovery and design through to mobilisation, implementation, adoption and benefits realisation, providing the leadership and delivery discipline needed to translate strategy into sustainable outcomes.
Reporting to the Program Director, you'll be supported by a leader who is passionate about developing people, building high-performing teams and creating opportunities for growth. With the program still taking shape, this role offers a unique opportunity to broaden your experience, work with senior stakeholders from across the enterprise and help shape the future of Fraud & Scams and Financial Crime at Westpac.
About you:
First and foremost, you'll be a strong people leader who knows how to bring people together around a shared purpose, build trust and accountability, and create an environment where teams can perform at their best. You'll be comfortable navigating complexity, managing competing priorities and delivering outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll also bring:
- Significant experience leading large-scale transformation programs or workstreams within complex organisations, including accountability for substantial investment (typically $20m+), multidisciplinary teams and complex delivery outcomes.

- Experience leading complex transformation and operating model initiatives across discovery, design, implementation and operational embedment.
- Excellent written communication , negotiation and facilitation skills.
- Experience delivering data, intelligence or AI -enabled transformation initiatives would be highly regarded.
Just as importantly, you'll bring curiosity, adaptability and a willingness to immerse yourself in the subject matter, understanding the business drivers and desired outcomes.
