JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a bilingual Medical Assistant to support a busy family practice clinic. This role combines both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including patient intake, insurance verification, documentation, referrals, and assisting with daily clinic operations. The ideal candidate is organized, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a high-volume environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Verify patient insurance and complete necessary documentation Manage referrals and coordinate care with outside providers Assist with patient intake and clinic workflow Maintain accurate patient records within Athena and NextGen EMR systems Perform basic clinical and laboratory support duties Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies as needed Sterilize instruments and ensure a clean, safe work environment Support both front office and back office operations Deliver excellent customer service to patients and families
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
Minimum 6 months of healthcare or Medical Assistant experience Fluent Spanish speaking, reading, and writing required Experience working with Athena EMR preferred Strong administrative and documentation skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic Reliable, professional, and eager to learn
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This is a busy family practice focused on women's health and pediatrics. Many patients are Spanish-speaking, making bilingual communication essential. Candidates should be comfortable working in a high-volume setting and be flexible to support multiple clinic locations as needed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
