Job Title: Junior Graphic Designer / Print Production Specialist Job Description
The Junior Graphic Designer / Print Production Specialist supports label design and print-production needs with a strong focus on efficiency and accuracy. The position relies heavily on Adobe Illustrator to execute template-driven label artwork updates within established brand guidelines, with opportunities to grow into broader graphic responsibilities within the department.
Responsibilities
- Update existing product labels using Adobe Illustrator, following established templates and brand guidelines.
- Execute label artwork revisions and edits quickly and accurately, prioritizing efficiency over original creative design.
- Prepare files and documentation required for label print production, ensuring all information is complete and correct.
- Support label printing and production processes, learning and applying print-production best practices for labels.
- Perform data entry related to label information and production requirements, maintaining accuracy in all records.
- Collaborate effectively with team members in a fast-paced environment and adapt to unexpected changes in priorities or projects.
- Manage and track edits, revisions, and documentation through internal systems, ensuring timely submission for review.
- Work within brand guidelines and existing templates, making consistent, detail-oriented updates rather than creating new designs from scratch.
- Participate in portfolio review and feedback processes by presenting relevant work that demonstrates experience with label or brand updates.
- Contribute to a positive, long-term departmental culture with a desire to grow and expand responsibilities over time.
Essential Skills
- High proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, with the ability to perform template-driven label updates accurately and efficiently.
- Experience performing edits and revisions to existing designs and documentation.
- Ability to complete precise data entry related to labels and production requirements.
- Base understanding of print production processes for labels or a strong ability and willingness to learn label print production.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally within a team environment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced setting with unexpected changes and shifting priorities.
- Experience working within brand guidelines and existing design templates rather than creating original designs.
- Ability to manage documentation, including tracking changes, edits, and revisions for review.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is beneficial and can be developed further on the job.
- Proficiency in Adobe InDesign is helpful but not required, with training available if needed.
- Experience with documentation workflows, including organizing and submitting files for review.
- A portfolio that demonstrates relevant experience with label updates, brand maintenance, or similar production-focused design work.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all design and production tasks.
- Desire for a long-term position with the ambition to grow into a more graphic-exposed opportunity within the department.
