Job Overview
UNRL is seeking a results-driven Sales Operations Manager with strong business acumen and a passion for building systems, processes, and financial visibility that support a high-performing organization. This critical, cross-functional role sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Product, and Marketing; responsible for optimizing sales systems and tools, improving reporting and data integrity, supporting forecasting and revenue planning, monitoring channel performance and gross margins, and providing the financial insights needed to drive informed decisions. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, organized, and solutions-oriented, with a strong understanding of financial performance, sales metrics, and business drivers and the ability to turn data into greater sales productivity, accountability, and profitability. This is a high-ownership position for someone who thrives on building structure, improving processes, and creating financial and operational clarity in a growing organization.
Responsibilities
- Support the VP of Sales through effective management of sales processes, procedures, agreements, data, and cross-functional coordination, helping keep the team aligned and the day-to-day operation running smoothly.
- Manage and implement systems and tools that improve sales and operational efficiency, including CRM, ERP, EDI, and other sales technologies, ensuring clean data, accurate reporting, and seamless workflows.
- Support the end-to-end sales process through streamlined systems, processes, and workflows, developing and refining sales processes, playbooks, and documentation to improve efficiency, accountability, and scalability.
- Analyze and present sales and financial performance metrics, providing actionable insights to leadership and sales teams and identifying key trends, risks, opportunities, and variances.
- Build and monitor sales budgets, revenue targets, and financial performance in partnership with Finance, including quota planning, sales compensation, and performance tracking across channels and teams.
- Lead and support sales forecasting, revenue planning, and performance against budget and targets, ensuring leadership has clear visibility into expected performance and potential risks and opportunities.
- Monitor and measure gross margins across sales channels, identifying pricing, product, or channel opportunities and risks that impact profitability.
- Design and maintain a comprehensive Sales KPI dashboard, providing leadership and the sales team with real-time visibility into revenue, pipeline, attainment, forecasting, margins, AR, and other key performance indicators.
- Lead and own the management of outstanding Accounts Receivable, coordinating with Finance to ensure timely collections, accurate reporting, and accountability across the Sales team.
- Partner with Supply Chain to align product availability, inventory, and production with sales strategy, revenue objectives, and customer demand.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Product, and Operations to identify and drive process improvements and maintain alignment across the organization.
- Maintain and optimize sales tools and systems, identifying opportunities for automation, improved reporting, and new solutions as the organization scales.
- Coordinate onboarding and training for new sales team members and ensure effective adoption of sales systems, processes, reporting, and financial expectations.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in Sales Operations, Finance Operations, Business Operations, or a closely related role.
- Strong financial and analytical acumen, with experience supporting budgets, forecasting, revenue planning, gross margin analysis, and performance against financial targets.
- Hands-on CRM experience with strong understanding of data hygiene, pipeline reporting, workflow automation, and CRM management.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, with the ability to analyze large datasets, build financial models and reporting, and turn data into clear, actionable insights.
- Experience with ERP, EDI platforms, ShipStation, or similar sales, order management, and business systems.
- Experience with sales forecasting, revenue planning, variance analysis, and translating financial and operational data into actionable business insights.
- Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable building structure, processes, and accountability in rapidly changing environments.
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of ownership and accountability for data accuracy, financial reporting, and operational execution.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Operations, Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate complex financial and operational information to both leadership and cross-functional teams.
