MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Senior SharePoint Developer, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in:
- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining custom solutions for SharePoint Online using the SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Developing responsive and reusable SPFx web parts, extensions, and components using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Developing and enhancing SharePoint Online sites, pages, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, navigation, and other SharePoint components
- Customizing SharePoint experiences using modern SharePoint extensibility approaches and Microsoft-supported development patterns
- Integrating SharePoint solutions with Microsoft Graph, SharePoint REST APIs, and other enterprise APIs and data sources
- Integrating SharePoint Online with Microsoft 365 services, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams, and Dataverse
- Developing solutions that leverage SharePoint lists and libraries as secure and structured data sources for business applications and automated processes
- Implementing SharePoint permissions, role-based access, and security requirements within developed solutions
- Developing reusable components and common solution patterns to promote consistency and reduce duplicated development
- Supporting modernization of legacy SharePoint solutions, including replacement of legacy customizations and workflows with modern SharePoint, SPFx, and Microsoft 365 capabilities
- Supporting SharePoint Server-to-SharePoint Online migration and modernization activities, including remediation and redevelopment of custom solutions as needed
- Troubleshooting and resolving SharePoint, SPFx, JavaScript, API, integration, and performance issues
- Optimizing custom SharePoint solutions for usability, accessibility, maintainability, and performance
- Performing unit and integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT)
- Participating in code reviews and implementing established SharePoint/SPFx development standards and best practices
- Using Git and enterprise source-control tools to manage application source code and development artifacts
- Supporting Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and controlled deployment of SharePoint/SPFx solutions across development, test, and production environments
- Developing and maintaining technical documentation, deployment instructions, configuration documentation, and solution support materials
- Collaborating with SharePoint architects, administrators, Power Platform developers, business analysts, security teams, and stakeholders throughout the solution development lifecycle
- Translating business and functional requirements into secure, scalable, maintainable, and reusable SharePoint solutions
- Providing technical support and knowledge transfer to end users and junior technical staff
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required
Experience:
- 6+ years of experience developing enterprise SharePoint solutions required
- Hands-on experience developing solutions for SharePoint Online using SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Experience developing modern web applications and reusable components using TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Microsoft 365 services and enterprise systems
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience with SharePoint Framework (SPFx)
- Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience developing SPFx web parts, extensions, and reusable components
- Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online development and modern SharePoint extensibility
- Experience working with SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, content types, metadata, pages, and permissions
- Experience with Microsoft Graph and SharePoint REST APIs
- Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating SharePoint with external systems and data sources
- Experience integrating SharePoint with Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 services
- Working knowledge of SharePoint security, permissions, authentication, and role-based access
- Experience troubleshooting and optimizing SharePoint and SPFx solutions
- Experience with Git and source-control practices
- Experience supporting solution packaging and deployment through the SharePoint App Catalog
- Familiarity with CI/CD and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices for SPFx solutions
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps or comparable enterprise development and deployment tools
- Understanding of responsive design, accessibility, and modern web-development practices
- Familiarity with SharePoint Server and SharePoint Server-to-SharePoint Online modernization is preferred
- Familiarity with Agile methodology
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work effectively with architects, administrators, developers, analysts, and business stakeholders
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to stay current on SharePoint, SPFx, Microsoft 365, and modern web-development technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $97,968 - $115,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
