MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

As a Senior Power Platform Developer , the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our customers. You will play a crucial role in:

- Designing, developing, testing, deploying, and maintaining enterprise applications using Microsoft Power Platform, including Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse
- Translating business and functional requirements into scalable, maintainable, secure, and reusable Power Platform solutions
- Designing and implementing automated workflows and business processes using Power Automate
- Developing and configuring Dataverse tables, relationships, business rules, forms, views, and security models
- Integrating Power Platform solutions with SharePoint Online, Dataverse, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, REST APIs, and other enterprise data sources
- Developing and deploying advanced Power Platform components using JavaScript, C#, Power Platform plug-ins, Power Apps Component Framework (PCF) controls, and custom APIs, as applicable
- Configuring and implementing role-based security for Power Platform applications and Dataverse
- Supporting Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including solutions, environment variables, connection references, and deployments across development, test, and production environments
- Supporting Power Platform pipelines and other automated deployment processes
- Troubleshooting, optimizing, and maintaining existing Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages sites, and Dataverse solutions
- Performing unit and integration testing and supporting user acceptance testing (UAT) and production deployments
- Developing technical documentation and supporting solution knowledge transfer
- Collaborating with business analysts, administrators, architects, security teams, and stakeholders throughout the solution development lifecycle
- Presenting technical concepts and solution designs to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Providing technical guidance and knowledge support to end users and junior staff

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Senior Power Platform Developer must have:

Education: BA/BS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required

Experience:

- 6+ years of experience designing, developing, testing, and deploying applications using Microsoft Power Platform
- Hands-on experience developing solutions using Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, and Dataverse
- Experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale Power Platform solutions

Required Skills

- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Power Apps, including Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps
- Strong proficiency with Power Automate for workflow and business process automation
- Experience developing and configuring Power Pages and Dataverse solutions
- Experience with Power Platform development and administration tools
- Experience integrating Power Platform solutions with Dataverse, SharePoint Online, SQL Server, Microsoft 365, REST APIs, and other enterprise data sources
- Experience developing custom components using JavaScript, C#, Power Platform plug-ins, PCF controls, and custom APIs
- Experience implementing role-based security within Power Apps and Dataverse
- Experience with Power Platform Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including solutions, environment variables, connection references, and deployment across development, test, and production environments
- Familiarity with Power Platform pipelines and automated deployment practices
- Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Power Apps, Power Automate flows, Power Pages, Dataverse solutions, and integrations
- Understanding of Power Platform security, connectors, authentication, and integration patterns
- Working knowledge of SharePoint Online and its integration with Power Apps and Power Automate
- Familiarity with Agile development methodology and working within an Agile development team
- Ability to translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, secure, and reusable technical solutions
- Ability to communicate and present technical concepts to individuals with diverse technical backgrounds and job responsibilities
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment
- Ability to provide technical guidance and knowledge support to junior staff
- Willingness to stay current on Microsoft Power Platform capabilities and emerging technologies

Required Certification(s)

- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals (PL-900)

The likely salary range for this position is $110,500 - $149,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
