Branch Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Branch Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations and overall performance of a fast-paced service and logistics branch. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for employees, daily operations, customer service, fleet and equipment, safety, staffing, and financial performance . The ideal candidate has experience managing teams in a logistics, transportation, warehouse, construction, industrial service, sanitation, distribution, or field service environment and is comfortable balancing people leadership with operational and business responsibilities.

Schedule

- Monday through Friday
- Must be flexible for occasional weekends, overtime, and after-hours needs based on business demands

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all daily branch operations, including staffing, scheduling, service execution, pickups, deliveries, and special projects.
- Lead and develop supervisors, leads, and frontline employees , establishing expectations and holding teams accountable for performance.
- Manage branch performance with a focus on revenue, profitability, labor efficiency, productivity, service quality, and customer satisfaction .
- Monitor daily workloads, routes, staffing levels, and equipment availability to ensure customer commitments are completed safely and on time.
- Oversee fleet and equipment readiness , including inspections, preventive maintenance, repairs, and required documentation.
- Handle escalated customer concerns and work closely with Sales and Operations to improve service, retention, and account growth.
- Review operational KPIs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, productivity, and profitability .
- Participate in recruiting, interviewing, hiring, performance management, and employee development.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching, feedback, training, and corrective action when appropriate.
- Maintain a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
- Work closely with leadership to communicate branch performance, challenges, staffing needs, and improvement opportunities.
- Step into operational needs when necessary to keep the branch running effectively.

Qualifications

- Previous management or supervisory experience in operations, logistics, transportation, warehouse/distribution, construction services, field service, sanitation, or a similar environment.
- Experience managing multiple employees and/or supervisors in a fast-paced operation.
- Strong understanding of labor management, productivity, operational KPIs, and customer service .
- Experience working with fleet, delivery, route-based, warehouse, or field operations strongly preferred.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and make sound decisions in a changing operational environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable holding employees accountable while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, email, tablets, and other operational software.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Associate or bachelors degree in Business, Operations, Management, or a related field is preferred but not required .

We're looking for more than someone who can supervise a shift. The right person will be able to take ownership of an entire branch operation , develop employees, solve operational problems, improve performance, take care of customers, and drive results.

This is a Permanent position based out of Stockton, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $120000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. 401k
