Your role
Reporting to the Director, People Business Partner and Labour Relations, Australia Asia Pacific, in the position of Lead, People Case Management , you will lead and oversee a People Case Management team across Newmont’s Africa Asia Pacific region to plan and execute internal investigations related to Tier 2 ‘Respect at Work’ cases including sexual misconduct, discrimination, harassment, bullying and intimidation.
Other key responsibilities
- Lead sensitive and complex workplace investigations including discrimination, sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and other ‘Respect at Work’ matters
- Assign and oversee investigations undertaken by others and provide expert guidance and quality assurance
- Prepare clear, objective and evidence-based investigation reports and maintain accurate, confidential case records
- Ensure investigations are fair, thorough and aligned with relevant legislative, regulatory and procedural requirements
- Present findings to management and provide expert input to support appropriate corrective and disciplinary outcomes
- Identify investigation trends and insights to inform training, policy, awareness and preventative initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement in investigation methodologies, case management, tools, reporting and dashboards.
What you will bring
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Law, Business, Accounting or related
- Formal Certification in Workplace Investigations
- Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Internal Auditor or equivalent
- Significant experience conducting complex and sensitive workplace investigations within a large, multinational organisation
- Strong knowledge of workplace investigation practices, procedural fairness and relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Experience in mining, construction, utilities and/or heavy industry
- Experience with eDiscovery and digital forensics
- Demonstrated capability in evidence gathering, interviewing, analysis and investigation report writing
- Sound judgement, discretion and stakeholder management skills
- Proficient skills in reporting tools and data analytics
- Proven team leadership across geographic locations with the ability to champion collaboration
- Full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
Your work environment
This permanent full-time position will be based out of Newmont Australia’s Brisbane or Perth capital city hub and will suit applicants currently living in Brisbane or Perth who have full and unrestricted eligibility to work in Australia.
