Position Overview

Seeking an experienced FPGA / ASIC Design Engineer to support an R&D program focused on the development of complex, high-speed digital products. This role will involve FPGA design, development, simulation, integration, and testing, with an emphasis on digital signal processing (DSP), high-speed digital design, communications, and System-on-Chip (SoC) applications. This is not a verification-only position.

Responsibilities

- Design and develop FPGA/ASIC solutions for advanced R&D programs.
- Develop DSP, high-speed digital, communications, and SoC applications on FPGA platforms.
- Perform design, simulation, integration, and hardware testing.
- Develop scripts and automation to improve FPGA development processes.
- Collaborate with Systems Architects, RF/Analog, Digital Circuit, and ASIC/FPGA engineers.
- Support HIL testing and troubleshooting using JTAG, logic analyzers, and related equipment.
- Provide technical guidance to junior engineers.

Required Qualifications

- Strong FPGA design/development experience.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog.
- Experience with FPGA tools such as Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, or Synopsys Synplify.
- Experience with HDL simulators, waveform viewers, and coverage tools.
- Familiarity with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing, JTAG, and logic analyzers.
- Experience with version control and configuration management.
- BS + 915 years of relevant experience OR MS + 713 years.
- U.S. Citizen with ability to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred: UVM and C programming experience.

Additional Details

- Primarily 100% on-site in Owego, NY, working at an engineering workstation or in a lab.
- Occasional remote work may be available after fully trained.
- Drug test and background check required.
- OPT/STEM OPT sponsorship is not available.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $80.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
