Position Overview

Tisun Beauty Supply is seeking a Fashion Assistant to join our team at our Northpark location in Charlotte, NC .

The Fashion Assistant will help customers discover fashion-forward products and accessories that complement their personal style while supporting the overall operation and appearance of the fashion department and store.

This position is ideal for someone who is fashion-conscious, outgoing, creative, personable, and passionate about helping customers . The Fashion Assistant should have a strong sense of style and enjoy staying aware of current fashion and beauty trends.

The successful candidate will assist customers with product selection, maintain attractive merchandise displays, restock products, support sales goals, and help create an engaging shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Service & Sales

- Welcome customers and provide friendly, attentive service.

- Assist customers in finding fashion products and accessories that fit their individual style.

- Ask questions to understand customers' needs, preferences, and intended use.

- Provide product recommendations based on customer preferences.

- Help customers coordinate accessories and beauty products when appropriate.

- Maintain a positive and engaging presence on the sales floor.

- Answer customer questions about products, pricing, availability, and promotions.

- Provide knowledgeable assistance while remaining respectful of each customer's personal style.

- Build positive relationships with customers and encourage repeat business.

- Assist with customer concerns and involve management when necessary.

Fashion & Product Assistance

- Stay familiar with the store's current fashion merchandise and accessories.

- Develop an understanding of product features, styles, colors, materials, and uses.

- Keep up with general fashion and beauty trends.

- Help customers select accessories that complement their outfits, hairstyles, or overall look.

- Assist customers in putting together coordinated looks when requested.

- Maintain awareness of new products, seasonal merchandise, promotions, and featured items.

- Communicate product information accurately and professionally.

- Help identify customer needs and direct them to other departments when appropriate.

Merchandising & Store Presentation

- Maintain attractive and organized fashion displays.

- Fold, hang, arrange, and organize merchandise according to store standards.

- Restock merchandise as needed.

- Ensure merchandise is properly priced and labeled.

- Help maintain visually appealing displays throughout the sales floor.

- Assist with seasonal and promotional displays.

- Keep shelves, racks, counters, and surrounding areas clean and organized.

- Notify management when products are running low or displays need attention.

- Help maintain proper product placement and organization.

- Assist with receiving and organizing new merchandise when assigned.

Sales Support

- Support store sales goals by providing excellent customer service.

- Introduce customers to relevant products and promotions.

- Suggest complementary products when appropriate.

- Assist with promotional events, sales, and special campaigns.

- Help maintain an energetic and engaging sales floor.

- Communicate customer feedback and product requests to management.

- Work collaboratively with other departments to provide a complete customer experience.

General Store Operations

- Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.

- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

- Assist other team members during busy periods.

- Help with inventory organization and merchandise recovery.

- Return misplaced merchandise to the appropriate location.

- Follow all company policies and procedures.

- Protect company merchandise and report suspected theft or damage to management.

- Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Qualifications

Required

- Previous retail, fashion, sales, customer service, or related experience preferred.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Friendly and approachable personality.

- Interest in fashion, beauty, styling, or personal appearance.

- Strong attention to detail.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.

- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

- Dependable attendance and punctuality.

- Professional appearance and positive attitude.

- Ability to learn product information and make appropriate recommendations.

- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during a work shift.

Preferred

- Previous experience in fashion retail, beauty retail, accessories, cosmetics, or specialty retail.

- Experience with styling or visual merchandising.

- Knowledge of current fashion trends.

- Experience assisting customers with outfit or accessory selection.

- Social media or content creation experience is a plus.

- Knowledge of beauty products, hair, wigs, extensions, cosmetics, or skincare is a plus.

A passion for fashion and customer service is more important than having extensive industry experience.

Schedule & Availability

This is a full-time retail position .

Candidates must be available to work a retail schedule, which may include:

- Weekdays

- Weekends

- Holidays

- Opening shifts

- Closing shifts

- Busy seasonal periods

Schedules are based on business needs and store operating requirements.

Physical Requirements

The Fashion Assistant must be able to:

- Stand and walk for extended periods.

- Bend, reach, and move throughout the store.

- Organize and restock merchandise.

- Lift and carry merchandise and supplies as needed.

- Move merchandise between storage and sales-floor areas.

- Maintain attention to customers and store operations throughout the workday.

Compensation

Starting Pay: $14.00/hour
