Job Title: Staff Accountant Job Description We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in the renewable energy sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing standard journal entries, completing monthly account reconciliations, and supporting both month-end and year-end close activities. This role involves processing daily transactions for accounts payable and receivable, reviewing invoices and employee expense reports, and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and accounting standards. Responsibilities
- Prepare standard journal entries and complete recurring monthly account reconciliations.
- Support month-end and year-end close activities.
- Calculate variable compensation payments and related accruals.
- Process daily transactions for accounts payable and receivable.
- Review invoices and employee expense reports for proper approvals and documentation.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in coordination with internal stakeholders and vendors.
- Execute scheduled payment runs and generate customer billing.
- Reconcile cash activity, receivables, and related sub-ledgers across multiple bank accounts.
- Investigate and resolve account variances with internal teams and external partners.
- Ensure adherence to organizational policies and established accounting standards.
Essential Skills
- 5+ years of general accounting or related professional experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (preferred).
- Familiarity with standard accounting systems or comparable digital tools.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and solid organizational abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBooks is advantageous.
- Interest in the renewable energy industry is a plus.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team while also managing independent tasks.
Work Environment You will work in a family-oriented office with a team of over 10 people. Our company culture is engaging and fun, with frequent happy hours, lunches, and events. The average age at the company is just under 30, contributing to a dynamic and energetic atmosphere. The position requires in-office work from Monday to Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Fridays once training is completed.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.50 - $35.20/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
