At Midland States Bank, base salary is one component of our Total Rewards program. Exact compensation is determined by factors such as (but not limited to) education, skills, internal equity, and experience. This position offers additional compensation in the form of short-term incentives (i.e. bonus and/or commission) and may include long-term incentives (i.e. stock awards). Position Summary

The Loan Servicing Intern will provide assistance to the Loan Servicing Department with recurring operational and administrative responsibilities as well as special projects supporting the life of a loan.

Primary Accountabilities

- Assist with administrative and operational tasks across Loan Servicing functions based on department business needs and priorities.
- Gain exposure to areas such as escrow administration, tax and insurance processing, flood compliance, collateral maintenance, customer requests, quality control, and regulatory reporting.
- Support meaningful projects and assignments that contribute to department priorities and provide exposure to a variety of Loan Servicing functions.
- Assist with data analysis, process improvement initiatives, and work involving multiple banking systems and Microsoft Office applications.
- Collaborate with team members across different Loan Servicing functional areas while following established procedures and maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).

Position Qualifications

Education/Experience:

- The internship will run for Summer of 2027 beginning mid-May and ending early August.
- Able to work a 40-hour work week, Monday-Friday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
- Must reside local to the St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL area and report to the assigned office.
- Enrolled in a degree program at a college or university with at least 2 years completed.
- Works well in team environment.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Demonstrates ability to learn and use new software and programs.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Outlook, is preferred.
- Comfortable working with technology and learning multiple banking systems.
- Ability to follow established procedures and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational, communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
