About the Team

Join Intuit's Small Business & Emerging Mid Market Sales team for an internship built around real customer conversations, not shadowing from the sidelines. You'll work alongside sales professionals who talk every day with existing QuickBooks customers, reaching in through inbound calls, inbound chats, and scheduled appointments. These are real businesses already running on QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online, a competitor or just getting started. You'll learn how a consultative conversation uncovers how a business actually operates, and how that translates into a recommendation that saves the customer time, saves them money, or gives them peace of mind. By the end of the internship, you'll understand how a modern SaaS sales organization runs, from discovery through to a signed outcome.

Responsibilities

- Shadow warm handoffs from Customer Success: inbound phone, inbound chat, and scheduled appointments with existing QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online customers
- Learn a structured, consultative discovery process covering accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, payments, and bill pay
- Practice translating customer needs into a recommendation tied to a business outcome: time saved, money saved, or peace of mind
- Sit in on conversations guiding Desktop customers to the right QuickBooks Online offering, and QBO customers to the right plan and ecosystem attach
- Get hands-on with the same ecosystem your mentors sell: Payroll (Workforce), Payments, Bill Pay, and QuickBooks Expert Services
- Use the same AI-assisted tools (e.g., Cresta) reps rely on in real time for guidance, compliance, and attach prompts
- Learn how units, RPI, and AV Mix (ecosystem attach rate) are tracked, and what drives them, in a metrics-driven sales floor
- Practice logging referral source, conversation outcome, and attach data in CRM/Salesforce
- Join coaching sessions and call calibration focused on consultative discovery and solution fit
- Complete a project at the end of the internship presenting what you learned about consultative, ecosystem-led selling

Qualifications

- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program with an expected graduation date after the internship ends , any major; no prior sales experience required
- Familiarity with AI tools and a curiosity about how AI can be applied to solve real-world problems
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for the duration of the internship
- Ability to work in a hybrid environment at an Intuit office location determined by your team and role (Relocation stipend will be provided)
- Genuine curiosity about how small businesses run, and interest in starting a career in sales or small business technology
- Strong verbal communication skills: comfortable on the phone, able to listen for what a customer isn't saying as much as what they are
- Coachable: responsive to real-time, AI-guided coaching and eager to apply feedback on the next call
- Comfortable in a metrics-driven environment, and motivated rather than intimidated by clear targets
- An ecosystem mindset: interested in the full customer relationship, not just a single transaction
- Basic tech comfort: CRM tools, dual-monitor multitasking, chat and AI copilot tools
